When we clutch our wealth with closed fists,
we lose far more than we gain.

Every breath is a loan from God, how will you steward the return? When we ignore God's plan for wealth, it's expensive.

Personal Cost

We forfeit freedom, blessing, become slaves to debtors and are corrupted by selfishness.

Relational Cost

We fail our families, neighbors, and churches elevating our own purposes.

Kingdom Cost

We miss out on opportunities to build the kingdom, serve the poor and fail to walk in the good works God sets before us.

Opportunity Cost

We miss out on God's promise to do much and more abundantly than we could on our own!

You want to honor God with your finances, but good, biblically responsible advice is hard to find.

We all struggle with trying to simultaneously;

  • Be responsible and provide for our families (1 Tim. 5:8 , Prov. 21:20)

  • Save for times of need and different seasons (Prov. 6:6-8, Gen. 41:35-36)

  • Give generously (2 Cor. 9:6-7 , Acts 20:35)

  • Support those in need (1 Jn. 3:17 , Jas. 2:15-16)

  • Enable the great commission (Rom 10:14-15, Matt 10:9-10)

That's why we developed the CONDUIT framework

The CONDUIT Framework

Steward Money as a Resource that Flows Through Us Not Just To Us

Clarify Your Cash Flow

Cash flow clarity brings peace. Knowing where your resources are going unlocks the freedom to direct them toward what God’s called you to build, give, and enjoy.

Offer Your Future

Retirement was never meant to be escape. God’s work mandate in Genesis 2 came before the fall, and Paul reminds us that work is done unto the Lord. Once you define “enough” and we sketch your financial finish lines, you’ll be on track to make work optional — offering your time and energy to what matters most, paycheck or not.

Next-Gen Legacy

Hemingway said every man dies twice: once when he’s buried, and once when his name is last spoken. As believers, we know our life impact can echo long after we’re gone. We’ll craft an estate and generosity plan that blesses children, grandchildren, and ministries — leaving a God-honoring legacy that endures.

Downside Protection

Stewardship means safeguarding what’s entrusted to you. We’ll review your existing coverages, identify any gaps, and connect you with trusted providers so your family and business are protected from financial storms that could derail your mission.

Use Your Wealth Well

Generosity is a posture, not a transaction. God owns it all, and we simply manage His resources. We’ll help you avoid the traps of fear, greed, and self-protection — aligning your giving with purpose, optimizing for taxes, and leaning in with trust to the provision of the Good Shepherd.

Investing That Uplifts

Investment advice and investment strategy in-line with Biblical values. We design portfolios that grow wealth while promoting human flourishing — putting money to work in ways that uplift people, communities, and creation.

Tax Stewardship

Taxes aren’t just a burden to minimize but a resource to steward. We help you give Caesar less and God more — using proactive, values-based strategies to maximize impact across your lifetime.

FAQs

Choosing a financial advisor comes with important questions. Here are clear, straightforward answers to some of the most common ones.

Are you a fiduciary, and how can I verify it?

Yes, always. Openhanded Wealth is an SEC-registered investment adviser, which means I'm held to a fiduciary standard on every recommendation I make, not only when it's convenient. I'm legally required to put your interests ahead of my own. You don't have to take my word for it. You can look up the firm (CRD #330399) at adviserinfo.sec.gov and see my registration, background, and disclosures for yourself. I'd rather you verify it than trust a claim on a website.

How are you paid, and what does "fee-only" mean?

I'm paid directly by you, and only by you. Fee-only means I don't earn commissions, I don't sell insurance or investment products for a cut, and I don't accept referral payments from anyone. There's no hidden compensation and no incentive to steer you toward the option that pays me more. When the only person paying me is the client, the advice stays about the client. I'm glad to walk through exactly what my fees are and how they're structured before you commit to anything.

Does biblically responsible investing mean lower returns?

This is the question I get most, and it's a fair one. Investing in line with your faith doesn't require giving up a sound, diversified portfolio. Values-based screening removes some companies from the mix, but the investable universe is still broad enough to build a well-diversified strategy around your goals. I can't promise any approach will outperform another, but what I can tell you is that you can pursue your long-term goals with a diversified portfolio and keep it aligned with your convictions at the same time. This also frees you up to steward faithfully what God's entrusted to you, and leave the results to Him.

What does biblically responsible investing screen out, and can I keep investments I already own?

Biblically responsible investing measures companies against biblical values, so portfolios typically avoid businesses whose core revenue comes from things like abortion, pornography, and other activities that conflict with a Christian worldview. The specific screens can be tailored to what matters most to you, since convictions aren't identical for every family.

As for what you already own, I'll be straight with you: moving to a biblically responsible portfolio usually means repositioning most of your current holdings. In practice that's a smaller change than it sounds. A good deal of your existing market exposure carries over, because faith-screened funds still invest broadly across the economy. What changes is the screening. The funds are built to filter out companies whose business conflicts with a biblical worldview, so a conventional index fund gets replaced by one designed around those values. A company you hold today may still be in your portfolio afterward, held through a screened fund instead, while the businesses that don't pass the screens are left out.

Where your accounts are taxable, we weigh the tax impact and decide how and when to make those changes rather than doing it all at once.

Do you work with clients all across the country? Or only locally in Woodstock, GA and the surrounding areas?

Both. Openhanded Wealth is based in Holly Springs, Georgia, and I meet with families and business owners in person across Canton, Holly Springs, Woodstock, and the rest of Cherokee County. I also work with clients virtually throughout Georgia and beyond, so distance isn't a barrier if we're a good fit. Whether you'd rather sit down locally or meet over video, we can make it work.
